THE IDEAL SOLUTION FOR YOUR SPECIFIC TRANSPORT
Scanfor is a European logistics provider with its own offices in Belgium (headquarters), Finland, Estonia, Sweden, France, and Spain. Scanfor was founded in 1993 by Marc Mertens and Gino Van Leuven (current CEO and owner) and quickly grew into a trailer operator specializing in ro/ro (roll-on/roll-off) shipping, focusing on Scandinavia. Over time, more countries were added to the network, and today, we can serve nearly all of Europe.
Investment in foreign offices began in 2004 with the opening of the first office in Finland. Subsequently, offices in Estonia, Sweden, France, and Spain followed. This expansion allows us to provide the well-known Scanfor service to clients in these countries.
Today, Scanfor is especially recognized for its personalized service and quality, highly valued by our clients. Speed, flexibility, and a personal approach are central to our philosophy. We specialize in shipping our trailers via ro/ro routes, using "green shipping corridors" to reduce the number of trucks on the road. Currently, we manage a fleet of approximately 800 trailers, ranging from standard tautliners to mega trailers, coil trailers, flatbeds, and container chassis.
We handle partial loads and full loads, including ADR (hazardous goods) and temperature-controlled shipments, as well as special transports and oversized cargo. Additionally, we specialize in express transport, where speed and service are paramount.
